Central Asia's prestigious Tashkent International School adopted the Companion Flag on October 13, 2003, during a visit by Companion Flag founder and president Scott Wyatt.

TIS 4th, 5th and 6th grade classes attended a special presentation by Mr. Wyatt at which brand new Uzbekistan and Companion Flags -- gifts from the students and faculty of Hamilton International Middle School in Seattle, Washington -- were unvailed.

A week earlier, TIS students were delighted to receive cards and letters from their counterparts at Hamilton, and at the close of the adoption ceremony they presented Mr. Wyatt with scores of replies, copies of the TIS newsletter and yearbook, and postcards and mementos of Tashkent to take back to their new friends in Seattle.
