On December 6, 2003, four students from George Schinas Primary School—the first school in Malta to adopt the Companion Flag—were interviewed on RADJU MALTA, Malta's National Public Radio.

Featured on the Saturday children's program "Pizzi Pizzi Kanna", the students shared their experiences and described the meaning and purpose of the Companion Flag. They expressed hope that other schools would soon follow suit.
