Update - CMS

City Montessori School, Lucknow, India, the world's largest school by population at over 28,000 students, adopted the Companion Flag on April 29, 2004.

The event, organized by CMS's Department of World Unity and Peace Education, under the guiding hand of Mr. Shishir Srivastava, began with a morning flag-raising ceremony at the Kanpur Road Branch, followed by student singing and a speech by Companion Flag founder Scott Wyatt.

CFSI is indebted to City Montessori School founder and president Mr. Jagdish Gandhi, not only for his kindness and support of the Companion Flag, but for graciously hosting Mr. Wyatt at the Kanpur Road Guest House. Additonal thanks go to Shishir Srivastava and Dr. Preeti Shankar for their phenomenal embrace of the Companion Flag project, to Dr. Vineeta Kamran, principal of the Kanpur Road Branch of CMS, and to Raj S. Chandola, director of the Department of World Unity and Peace Education.
